Today I spent my Sabbath glued to the computer, watching breaking news coverage of a former boss who was sentenced for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the non-profit where we worked. The affidavit said she committed crimes “against the peace and dignity of the State.”

It’s All Good

While I sat at my daughter’s piano lesson, I flipped through an instruction book called ChordTime Piano: Jewish Favorites, by Faber & Faber. One of the songs was called “Shabbat Shalom,” and those two words made up the entire lyrics of the piece. Just a simple tune in E-minor: Sabbath peace.
